Obituary of Krysten Joe Ann Taube

Krysten Jo-Anne Taube was born on September 14,1995 in Dawson Creek, BC. Krysten was blessed with two loving parents, Symon and Paris and two god parents, Ki and Debbie. She was born a month premature, which proved to be ironic, because all her life she wouldn't wait for anything or anyone. She lived by her own rules. Krysten spent the majority of her life living with her mother Symon, sisters, Jamie, Samantha and her brother Joseph. She lived in Vancouver for parts of her life as well, staying with her father, Paris, stepmother Tanya and her two step sisters, Aysha and Monique. Krysten also lived with her grandmother Lillian for awhile and visited her other grandmother Susan often. Krysten also had two other half sisters, Chelsea and Courtney. From an early age, Krysten was determined. She proved this to me when we were kids. I remember us fighting, as siblings do, and Krysten was getting quite upset. She went to our mom, tears running down her face, explaining I was being mean to her. I recall my mom telling her that just because I am older and bigger then her doesn't mean that she can't stick up for herself. So, the next time we were arguing, Krysten decided to take mom's advice, grabbed the broom and whacked me on the head with it. Even this simple memory reminds me of the true testament of Krysten's character. She was too strong minded to allow negativity bring her down. When it came down to it, Krysten was selfless and gave what she could to those she loved. She was and always will be an inspiration to her family, and friends. We like to believe it is because she was driven, quirky, loyal and stood up for what she believed in, no matter what. However, these words don't compare to the rare and whimsical person she really was. The warmth of her memory will live and shine within us all. When Krysten was younger, she enjoyed many hobbies and interests. She expressed herself in ballet and hung out with her friends at the swimming pool. Another fond memory I have of Krysten is when she proved to have an amazing slap shot. The family was gathered at my Uncle Duane's house with all my cousins hanging around the man made skating rink. Krysten wasn't able to skate, but she got down on one knee and slapped a puck with her hockey stick straight into the goal net. Immediately everyone's attention was focused on her and her abilities. She was put into skating after that. As Krysten grew, her imagination expanded. She began to write poetry and read frequently. She also began to branch out, listening and singing to all types of music. Krysten had an amazing social life and made many friends from all over. Yes, I think we can all agree, Krysten cherished the love she had in her life. Krysten was an astounding, hopeful girl who brought happiness to her family and friends, She inspired us to believe the impossible is possible. None of us will forget her cheerful attitude or her words of encouragement or her uncanny ability to make us smile even when we want to cry. She will be missed immensely, but she will live within our hearts, urging us to live our lives to the fullest. May she grow her angelic wings as paradise embraces her with open arms. I love you baby sister. Memories presented by Krysten's Sister; Samantha Gabriel.
