Obituary of Ann Howatt

Anneke "Ann" Elizabeth Howatt of Dawson Creek, passed away November 9, 2018 at age 72. She was born to Ellie and Gerald Averes in Gronigen, Netherlands on December 28, 1946. She is predeceased by her parents and is the oldest of 7. Ann will be missed greatly by her family: her husband Del, two sons Rene and Steven, siblings Hedda, Alida, Gerry, Eddie, Alfred and Yolanda, and numerous nieces and nephews. There are also aunts, uncles, and cousins still living in her Dutch homeland. Her family immigrated from The Netherlands when she was very young and rebuilt a life in Beaverlodge, Alberta. Her life then took her to Edmonton, Fort St. John, and eventually stopping in Dawson Creek which became home. She enjoyed travel, laughter and sunshine no matter the time of year. Her loving heart and welcoming nature will be missed by family and friends. Ann's warm loving light will continue to shine for all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Bergeron Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made by donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1100 Alward Street, Prince George, British Columbia V2M 7B1.
